Over a year in the making, Neil Walsh has carefully planned and built a specialist training property in Mornington, situated on Roberts Rd training precinct at the rear of Mornington Racecourse.

With horse safety paramount it has been designed and developed to provide for a varied work program, catering for all types of horses and their idiosyncrisies. 

The property facilities are state of the art and include;

  • A 16 box (all with rubber flooring) court yard
  • Day yards where horses can go out during the day.  Built with the horses best interest in mind,
  • Boasts a 40 metre swimming pool
  • 8 horse walker
  • 10 day night yards for horses who don't enjoy the confines of being boxed at night.
  • Sheltered paddocks with open spaces.
  • 100 metres from Mornington Racetrack, no floating of horses needed
  • Use of the Mornington Racecourse "tier 1" training facilities & nearby water walker facilities at "Alchemy Park"

The property has been designed to keep the horses relaxed and happy giving them every possible chance to succeed.  It has been our experience that bringing our horses back to nature at our quiet rural setting allows them to relax, rejuvenate and recover keeping them racing at their best for longer.

In addition to this 181 Racing boasts its own first class agistment property "Leprechaun Lodge"  10 peaceful acres situated just 15 min down the road used exclusively for our horses meaning we are in complete control of their well being all year round.
